Here’s an update from the county legislature:
County Legislator Gordon A. Burrows announces funding in the amount of $5500,000. to mitigate serious flooding at Bronxville’s Scout Field
Burrows says relief is much needed. “This area has historically been hit hard during storms. The volume and velocity of water is too much to handle and creates significant flooding problems.”
The funding is made available with a $250,000 grant from The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, with the other $300,000. coming from County funds.
In a letter to Bronxville Mayor Mary C. Marvin, Burrows notes, “This appropriation will bring meaningful and much needed improvements in water management to this area.”
This is a change from the earlier post, which had a different total.
