A 16-year-old junior at Eastchester High School, Keum Kim, was arrested after taking three bags of marijuana into the school building, town police said Tuesday.
Police were alerted that Kim had marijuana at the school by Jeffery Capuano, the school principal, Sgt. Matthew J. Kiernan Sr., commander of the Eastchester police Detective Division, said. The principal had called Kim to the office after learning the student might be in possession of the drug, and Kim admitted that he had marijuana in his locker, Kiernan said. Kim then took school officials to his locker and turned over three $5 bags of marijuana, police said.
The student’s parents and the police were notified by the school. Kim was sent home and the marijuana was turned over to police, who arrested Kim at his 9 New Street apartment. He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

an eastchester kid brought pot to school?!?
lol
LOHUD must rethink its policy of releasing names of minors. While this kid made an obviously stupid choice, in the age of google, he’ll never be able to escape a stupid teenage mistake.
i think they should rethink the releasing of names minors too. all the reporters want is a story, do they even think about how the family is feeling? this is a private issue, and this article should either be taken down or at least put the student’s name as initials and dont mention the students home address.
