People who are struggling because of the economic downturn are invited to a Recession Speak-Out set for 9 a.m. Feb. 12 at the Reformed Church of Bronxville, 180 Pondfield Road.
The program, which is slated to run through noon, will be moderated by Mary Civiello, a former NBC New York news anchor who successfully moved to another career and is the author of “Communication Counts: business Presentations for Busy People.”
The program will focus on the methods, emotions and stories for coping that have been used by people who have lost their jobs or had to modify their work ideas and goals because of the current economic climate. Several people will discuss their stories, and professional career coaches and career changers will lead workshops after the presentation.
Organizers have geared the program to those in transition and the organizations and professionals working with people in transition.
