The UJA-Federation of New York’s Scarsdale Women’s Philanthropy initiative opened Oct. 4 at the Westchester Reform Temple in Scarsdale with an event featuring Slovie Jungreis Wolff, parenting instructor and author of “Raising a Child with Soul.”
The breakfast event was coordinated by members Ilyssa Londa, Suzanne Seiden and Mauri Chotin Zemachson, all of Scarsdale.
Guests brought books to donate to a JCY-Westchester Community Partners program that matches volunteers and local Westchester hospitals interested in having someone read to families. About 6,000 books are distributed each year.
