Susan Adams, Brownie Troop #1736 Leader, sent us this picture and the following caption:
“I am a mom and leader of my daughter’s Brownie troop #1736 in the Heart of the Hudson Council in New York (we are based in Crestwood, NY). The girls have been working through their Wonders of Water Journey and wanted to help make a difference that would help impact water ways close by in a positive fashion. Yesterday, the girls met on a beautiful afternoon at the Crestwood train station portion of the Bronx River and they decided to clean up all the debris in the park so it does not run-off into the Bronx River and impede the water flow or affect the animal habitats. They enjoyed having making impact for the overall appearance and betterment of the park. They also enjoyed getting “thank-you’s” from near by walkers and bikers. The attached image shows our troop and most of the garbage they collected within our 1 hour period. They would love if you could feature them in your Journal News newspaper especially to help share with others and encourage others to do the same. They all go to Annunciation School in Crestwood.”
