The Village of Bronxville suggests you check your STAR eligibility for the coming year. Please review the full message below. If you have a question, please call 337-6500.
Recent legislation mandates that STAR recipients (for school taxes only) are subject to annual review for income eligibility. The village, on an annual basis, mails out renewal applications and filing information for each previously qualified STAR recipient with an Adjusted Gross Income of less than $79,050 and are 65 years old or older.
We also mail out similar materials for certain seniors with incomes below $37,400 to reduce village and school taxes up to 50 percent. Follow-up telephone calls are made to those failing to timely re-apply. All other resident taxpayers with an Adjusted Gross Income below $500,000, will have their eligibility determined by the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance.
The village also mails out materials and an invitation to apply for each known new property owner.
