Got this in recently from Concordia College:
Concordia College has recently been named a College of Distinction on CollegesofDistinction.com, an online guide for students and their parents. Colleges of Distinction honors colleges excelling in key areas of educational quality based on feedback from guidance counselors, educators, and admissions professionals.
“Schools selected as Colleges of Distinction create well-rounded graduates and are among the very best in the country,” said Tyson Schritter, executive editor of Colleges of Distinction. “While each school is one of a kind, they all share a common theme: they are all a great place to get an education.”
In order to qualify, Concordia College was required to demonstrate excellence in the four distinctions: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities, and successful outcomes.
“We’re happy to be recognized for what we’ve always been working hard to achieve at Concordia,” said Sherry Fraser, Dean of the College. “Recent positive data from the National Survey of Student Engagement, combined with this honor, prove that our tradition of engaging students on a deep level is intact and we are providing them with many opportunities for success.”
The website provides students, counselors, and parents with information about colleges and universities that excel in these four critical areas. Concordia was cited as a school that takes a holistic approach to admissions while consistently excelling in providing undergraduate education.
