A rock-climbing wall, electronic book readers, a teaching garden and programs in everything from Latin to Legos will be in store for Bronxville students next year thanks to $250,000 in grants from the Bronxville School Foundation.
The grants, which cover the 2012-2013 school year, provide programs for kindergarten to 12th grade as well as faculty development.
The foundation’s grants are gathered from school families and the community. Programs include a math and science resource center, a partnership with the Lincoln Center Institute, digital art technology, a national conference for science teachers, gymnasium scoreboards, a basketball hoop for the elementary school playground and a middle school beautification project.
Among the $250,000 in projects approved for next year by the Bronxville School Foundation is a new basketball hoop for the elementary school.
