The Bronxville Women’s Club has a full slate of activities in coming months, including an author visit, coffee house and dessert social series.
Sal Casabianca, a Bronxville resident and musician, will host an evening of music from 8 to 11 p.m. on Friday, June 15.
Performers include The Balint Duo, the husband-and-wife team of Sandor Balint and Joyce Rasmussen Balint. He has performed as a violinist with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra for 54 years. She is the mandolin soloist for the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and concertmaster for the Amore Opera in New York. She also plays violin. The couple are longtime Bronxville residents.
Also performing will be Kama Linden, a singer and songwriter; John Moroski, a Rockland County musician; and Maria Luger, a singer and Bronxville resident.
The $5 admission includes refreshments. Guests are welcome to bring their own bottle.
On June 28, the women’s club will host an afternoon tea from 3 to 5 p.m. with writers Alexandra M. Burckhardt, former Bronxville resident and author of “Navigate Life’s Journey” and Jackie Kingon, Bronxville resident and author of “Chocolate Chocolate Moon.” The event is free.
Over the summer, the club will offer a series of six weekly dessert socials on Wednesday afternoons, starting July 11.
Open to members, guests and the public, the events are designed for lunch, socializing and playing games, including bridge, mah jongg and others.
Starting at 11:30, the event will cost $10 for members, $15 for guests and $20 for the public. Bring a bag lunch. Dessert and beverages will be available.
