Scarsdale detectives are searching for a car spotted fleeing from a Colonial Road house after a Friday evening burglary, police said today.
Neighbors told police they spotted a man leaving the house at 7:15 p.m. Friday.
The home owners returned to find a rear door forced open and jewelry and silver stolen, Scarsdale Detective Lt. Thomas Altizio said. The residents are still making an inventory of stolen items, Altizio said today.
