The Scarsdale Public Library’s Foreign & Independent Film Festival will present “Potiche,” a French film starring Catherine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu.
The movie will show at 6:30 p.m. on June 13 and again at 2 p.m. on June 15.
Admission is free and snacks and soda will be served.
The R-rated film is set in 1977 and features Deneuve as a “trophy wife” who ends up managing her husband’s umbrella factory and connecting with a former beau and union leader played by Depardieu. There will be a discussion of the movie after it has been shown.
Also coming up at the library this month is Nancy’s Book Discussion Group at 1 p.m. on June 13. The book will be “Half Broke Horses” by Jeannette Walls. Call the circulation desk at 914-722-1300 to register.
