The League of Women Voters has released its voter guide online for Tuesday’s primary for Congress and Senate. It’s the first time the League has compiled a guide for a primary. Read on for details:
NEW! LWV Website www.Vote411.org Ready for Primary Election June 26.
Election information for the June 26 primary can now be found at www.Vote411.org, sponsored by the League of Women Voters. The web site has detailed election and polling place information, including responses from candidates to questions asked by the League.
Voters can access this information from the above website or from www.lwvny.org. After users type in an address and zip code, the site responds with information on the address’s polling place and voting district number for each level of government. Further clicks bring candidate names and then candidates responses to biographical questions and opinion of issues and policy.
By using the web site, the League is able to make primary candidate information available for the first time and have room for more detailed responses than is possible in its print version of the Voters Guide.
For the November election, the League will continue the print version of the Voters Guide and provide more detailed information on the web. The site also has a link to voting registration forms to process online or to download.
