Midway Wine & Liquors opened last week at the Midway Shopping Center in a 10,300 square-foot space next to the ShopRite supermarket.
Manager Erik Amend, 32, said the business chose to open in the Scarsdale area because of its sophisticated wine connoisseurs.
For wine drinkers who aren’t sure what they want, Amend said the story will dedicate about 900 square feet to an education center where wine companies’ representatives will present their products.
“We want you to come in here and learn the products from the owners’ mouths themselves,” said Amend. “We don’t want you to be intimidated.”
