David Westin, a former president of ABC News, will open Concordia College’s Books and Coffee series next month with a discussion of his new book, “Exit Interview.”
The Bronxville resident led ABC News from 1997 to 2010, overseeing coverage of President Clinton’s impeachment, the 2000 presidential election recount, the 9/11 attacks, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and the economic crisis of 2008.
Westin’s talk will reveal what went on behind the scenes during those dramatic news events and analyze the changing world of television news.
Westin is currently president and chief executive of NewsRight, an independent digital rights organization for news providers.
The free talk, which is open to the public, will be at 7 p.m. on Sept. 6 in the Sommer Center for Worship and the Performing Arts at Concordia College.
