Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, D-Scarsdale, and Bronxville Mayor Mary Marvin will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 9 to commemorate the reopening of Sagamore Park.
The improvements to the park include refurbishment of playground equipment, replacing hard playground surfaces with safety fiber mulch and additional plantings throughout the park. A system of disability-accessible paths and railings now provide entry to the park. A $175,000 state grant, secured by Paulin, helped fund the project.
“The beautification of the grounds and updates to the playground make it a safer and more enjoyable place for children to play,” Paulin said in a statement.
“We could not have refurbished Sagamore Park without the grant that Assemblywoman Paulin secured from the state,” Marvin said.
