The Boy Scouts of the Algonquin district, which includes Bronxville, Scarsdale, Eastchester and Tuckahoe, are holding a “Salute to Scouting” breakfast fundraiser at 8 a.m. Oct. 20 at the Bonnie Briar Country Club in Larchmont.
The event is designed to increase community awareness about Scouting and to raise funds to support the local program.
The event is free, but attendees are encouraged to make individual donations to pay for the Westchester-Putnam Council’s scouting programs.
There will be a drawing for a New York Jets helmet signed by Mark Sanchez, Rex Ryan, Woody Johnson, Shonn Greene, Nick Mangold and David Harris.
Dress is casual for the event, but the Scouts ask that attendees wear collared shirts and avoid denim.
For more information about attending, contact Steven Ircha, the assistant scoutmaster for Bronxville Troop 5, at 914-361-1099 or Ircha@yahoo.com.
