School Superintendent Marilyn C. Terranova has announced she will retire in summer 2013 after six years in Eastchester. Terranova, who took the top job in Eastchester on Aug. 1, 2007, said in a statement that she plans to “pursue other personal and professional goals.”
She has been a school superintendent for 22 years, most recently before Eastchester as the head of the Carmel Central School District. She has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education from the State University of New York at Fredonia; a master’s degree in reading from Virginia Commonwealth University; and a master’s degree and Ph.D in educational administration and policy studies from SUNY at Albany.
