The Town of Eastchester is reporting that 1,453 homes remain without power in the town while 2,028 have had electricity restored.

All schools have been restored as well as all voting locations.

Some roads remain closed: Nelson Road, Downer Avenue, Park Drive between Hilldale and Burnham Drive, Webster Road between Ackerman and Locust Avenue.

Supervisor Anthony Colavita and the town board are calling on residents without power to call Con Edison every day at 1-800 752-6633. The government is also reminding residents to steer clear of downed lines and to call 911 if anyone sees a hazardous situation.

The Lake Isle Country Club is still operational as a shelter and showers are available. Bring your own towel and toiletries. There are limited electrical outlets for charging cell phones and laptops. There is an option to stay overnight, but pets are not allowed.

The Eastchester Library is also a warming and charging center.
