The Eastchester School District is creating an afterschool homework center for children in the town who don’t have electric power in their homes. Students can stay afterschool at their own schools on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8 until 5:30 p.m. to either do their homework or read a book in a lighted, warm environment.
There won’t be a homework center today because of the presidential election.
The school district is asking parents to pick up their children from the afterschool program because many roads and sidewalks are impassable because of tree limbs.
