The Scarsdale Public Library has added three women authors to its fall lineup.
Scarsdale English teacher-turned writer Julie Gerstenblatt will discuss her novel “Lauren Takes Leave” at 7:30 on Nov. 28. The novel involves a suburban wife and mom fulfilling an escape fantasy triggered by a jury summons.
Author and comedian Karen Bergreen will speak about her novel “Perfect is Overrated” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4. The novel tells the story of a new mom whose detective husband has moved out.
Pace professor and Scarsdale resident Eleanor Ehrenkranz will speak at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 11 about her book, “Explaining Life: the Wisdom of Modern Jewish Poetry 1960 – 2010.” The poetry compilation includes works by American and Israeli poets and deals with love, loss, family, death, alienation, war and renewal.
The events are free and open to the public. The library is at 54 Olmsted Road.
