The author of new book on parenting a gay child will be coming to the JCC of Mid-Westchester for a lecture, book-signing and question-and-answer session at 2 p.m. Dec. 2.
John Schwartz’s book, “Oddly Normal, One Family’s Struggle To Help Their Teenage Son Come To Terms With His Sexuality,” details his personal story of accepting his son and helping him fit into a world that frequently doesn’t welcome anyone who is different.
The lecture, which will be held at 999 Wilmot Road in Scarsdale, is free. The JCC is asking people to register on the Web in advance.
