Candidates for Eastchester Fire Board of Commissioners will be at Bronxville Village Hall at 8 p.m. Dec. 6 for a forum hosted by The Town Report, a community newspaper. The candidates will share their biographies and answer questions from a Town Report moderator. The event will be filmed by local access TV.
The election in the Eastchester Fire District is Dec. 11. The candidates are current Chairman Raymond L. Albanese, lawyer Steve Baker and small businessman John Palazzolo. Commissioners serve for five years in a volunteer post where they oversee the fire district’s operations and budget, set at $16.3 million for 2013.

Please vote for Steve Baker on Tuesday,2-9PM. As spelled out in the NYS Comptroller’s audit, Eastchester Fire District needs the internal financial controls that this Board has willfully not provided. Ray Albanese has been on the Board for 30 years, if elected for another 5 yr term – a total of 35 yrs! We need a change.
Please vote. EFD needs a working majority of independent, intelligent commissioners who will provide the financial controls for a $16.3mil budget.
