Certain villages in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties hold spring elections — this year on March 19 — to fill mayoral, trustee and/or village justice positions.
If you are running for mayor, trustee or judge in your village, we want to hear from you. Please send your full name, home address, a daytime phone number and email address to email@example.com. In both the subject line and body of the email, be sure to indicate your village, and the seat you are seeking.
The information will be used by our news and editorial staffs to contact and correspond with candidates. Additionally, the email address will be used to send candidates a username and password for a detailed questionnaire about village issues; responses will form the basis of our online election guide for voters.
Candidates may also send us a JPEG photo for use in campaign coverage and the voter’s guide. Send photos, with identifying information, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Westchester villages with spring elections include: Briarcliff Manor, Bronxville, Buchanan, Elmsford, Hastings-on-Hudson, Irvington, Larchmont, Pelham, Pelham Manor, Pleasantville, Rye Brook Scarsdale, Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown and Tuckahoe .
In Rockland, spring village elections are held in Grand View, Hillburn, New Hempstead, South Nyack, Upper Nyack and Wesley Hills.
