The community is invited on 7 p.m. Feb. 23 for “an evening of merriment and satire” for the holiday of Purim at Shaarei Tikvah, the Scarsdale Conservative Congregation, 46 Fox Meadow Road, Scarsdale. There will be the Megillah reading with the Purim Silly Symphony. The Silly Symphony, conducted by Cantor Gerald Cohen, is a band of homegrown musicians of all ages who accompany the traditional reading. The community is encouraged to come in costume.
