A search for a new principal for Bronxville High School will begin on Sunday, when an advertisement for the post appears in the New York Times. Terry Barton, principal of Bronxville High School since 2006, plans to retire at the end of the school year. An online survey, open starting Feb. 25 and ending March 15, will poll students, parents, faculty and staff about the position. Additional focus groups and meetings are set for later in the month and in March. The school district hopes to hold the first round of interviews by the middle of March and find a final candidate for approval of the Board of Education in April or May. Barton came to Bronxville from Indian Hill High School in Indian Hill, Ohio, which is a suburb of Cincinnati. Before that, he was a high school principal in Birmingham, Mich. He has a bachelor’s degree from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisc., and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin. Barton earned $204,736 in the 2011-2012 school year.
