Members of the Junior League of Central Westchester and their families and planning to help clean up the Bronx River during the “Pitch in for Parks” event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 14. The effort is being organized by the Bronx River Parkway Reservation Conservancy. Volunteers will cut vines and remove trash. Trash bags, disposable gloves and tools for cutting vines will be provide. Volunteers are urged to bring heavy-duty gardening gloves, wear suitable clothing and bring water bottles.
