Eastchester resident Timothy M. Elwell has been named chief executive officer of a Connecticut health care consulting company. Qualidigm, based in Rocky Hill, choose Elwell after a national search. He is taking over from Marcia K. Petrillo, who retired after more than 37 years leading the company. Elwell’s previous post was as vice president at Misys Open Source Solutions in White Plains, where he led development of software to exchange health information. Before that, he was the national sales director of IBM’s State and Local Global Business Consulting Division, based in New York City. Kathy Mon, chair of Qualidigm’s board of directors, praised Elwell as a “consummate strategic thinker” with leadership skills and “entrepreneurial spirit.”
Elwell has a bachelor’s degree from Siena College and a master’s in business administration degree from the City University of New York. He is working toward a doctorate in organizational leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. Elwell is married to Joy Elwell, who runs an independent nurse practitioner practice. The Elwells have three children.
