There will be 12 new vendors to greet shoppers when the Bronxville Farmers’ Market opens for the first time this year from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 11, rain or shine. The market, on Stone Place at Paxton Avenue, includes a wide range of vendors from the Hudson Valley region. The new vendors are offering Italian foods; stuffed breads; gourmet butters; olive oil; meats including rabbit, duck, lamb and elk; gluten-free cookies and granola; organic nuts; Middle Eastern fare, including 12 different hummus dips; and healthy dog treats. Returning vendors offer fresh produce, meats, poultry, eggs, fish, honey, maple syrup, fruit juice pops, barbecue sauce, bottled milk, granola, soups, cookies, hand-made soaps, home-spun fibers and authentic Indian chutneys. The market is co-sponsored by the Village of Bronxville and the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce.
