Former Westchester Community College students Chad Mesisco of Mount Vernon and Max Edelmann of Scarsdale recently had the distinction of being the only presenters at a scholarly conference who were affiliated with a community college. They presented their paper, based on research with WCC Professor Paul Siegel, at the Association for Psychological Science conference. Mesisco graduated from Westchester Community College with a 4.0 grade point average. He transferred to Columbia University in 2012 and intends to go to graduate school and earn a Ph.D in neuroscience. Edelmann graduated WCC with a 3.97 grade point average and attends Stony Brook University. He intends to go on to medical school.
