More ramp closures are coming for travelers along the Bronx River Parkway who pass the construction at Crane Road Bridge in Scarsdale. For three nights starting July 9, the southbound Exit 12 at Crane Road and the southbound entrance ramp at Fenimore Road will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. In addition, Crane Road westbound from Chase Road to East Parkway will be closed as well as East Parkway southbound from Crane Road to Christie Place. The closings are in addition to the northbound closures from the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers to the Westchester County Center exit in White Plains that will be under way from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays until July 19. Drivers should also be aware that southbound traffic on the parkway will stop intermittently for five-to-10-minute intervals whole construction workers move heavy equipment. The Crane Road bridge replacement project began last summer and will take three years to finish.
