This just came in from St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill:
Bart Grachan of Bronxville joins St. Thomas Aquinas College as the new director of admissions, responsible for overseeing the recruitment and enrollment of freshmen, transfer, international, and graduate students at the college. Managing a staff of 10, he will oversee the daily operations of the office, the coordination of all events and the application and scholarship review process. He will work with the Financial Aid Office, the Academic School Deans, Special Program Directors and other members of the community to ensure that enrollment goals are met.
“Bart brings a unique set of skills and experience to St. Thomas Aquinas College” said Vincent Crapanzano, senior vice president of enrollment management and campus communications. “His exceptional approach to increase student outreach will no doubt help STAC continue to develop and succeed. We are thrilled to have him as a part of the team.”
Grachan earned his B.A. degree from Fordham University, his M.A. and M.S.T. degrees from Iona College, and his Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from New York University. For the past five years he was Director of the Community College Transfer Opportunity Program at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development. Before his time at NYU, Grachan worked for Iona College as the Assistant Director of Admissions. Prior to this, he spent many years in various roles on the coaching staff of the Iona Gaels Football team.
He served as president and is currently the treasurer of the New York State Transfer and Articulation Association (NYSTAA). Grachan has presented at numerous NYSTAA conferences, as well as at conferences for the American Association of Collegiate Registrar and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).
