Author Peter Georgescu, chairman emeritus of the advertising agency of Young & Rubicam, will kick off the first 2013-14 season Books & Coffee series at Concordia College with a discussion of his latest book, “The Constant Choice: An Everyday Journey from Evil Toward Good,” at 7 p.m. Sept. 19 at the college’s Sommer Center for Worship and the Performing Arts.
Georgescu, who spent years as a forced child laborer in Communist Romania, came to the U.S. in 1954. He graduated from both Princeton and Stanford universities. In addition to his status at Young & Rubicam Inc., he also is vice chairman of New York Presbyterian Hospital and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
“The Constant Choice” is a semi-autobiography, looking at his business path, his moral struggles and his own journey in the world of faith. He also is the author of “The Sources of Success.”
Books & Coffee, made possible through support from Friends of Concordia, is free and open to the public. No reservations are required. For questions, call Ellen de Saint Phalle at 914-337-9300, Ext. 2159, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
